Starting Wednesday, January 21st, 2026, the Western Carolina Amateur Radio Society will be offering virtual classes for anyone interested in getting started in ham radio.
In this series of classes, we will cover the information needed to pass the FCC Amateur Radio Technician exam, as well as everything you need to know to get started and get on the air.
Prospective hams and existing hams just wanting to learn a bit more about the hobby are welcome to attend!
There is no fee to attend the classes, but we will be using the latest edition of the ARRL License Manual.
Classes will be held every Wednesday evening from 7pm to 9pm Eastern on Zoom for approximately 12 weeks. Classes will be recorded and uploaded to YouTube afterwards.
